We collect as little as possible. We don't sell anything. We don't track you across the web. If you don't create an account, we don't know who you are.
If you use the free tier without an account:
Nothing personally identifiable. Words you plot are sent to our API proxy and may be cached by their text only — no IP address, no session ID attached to the cache entry.
If you create an account:
Your email address. That's it currently. We use it to manage your access and to occasionally let you know about significant updates — new languages, major features. Not frequently. Not noise.
If you make a purchase:
Payment is handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Stripe's privacy policy governs what they collect.
Words and their IPA transcriptions are stored in a shared database. There is no user identifier attached to any cache entry. We cannot tell who plotted what word. This data improves the tool's accuracy for everyone.
We don't use Google Analytics, Meta pixels, or any ad-related tracking. There are no third-party marketing cookies.
If you have an account and want your email removed, email us and it's gone. The phoneme cache entries you contributed can't be individually identified or removed — they're anonymous by design.
If you're in the EU, you have GDPR rights. We honor them. The lawful basis for processing your email is your consent at signup. You can withdraw it anytime.
If you're in California, CCPA applies. We don't sell personal data. Full stop.
Account emails are kept until you ask us to delete them. Phoneme cache entries persist indefinitely — they're the dictionary, not personal data.
If we start collecting something new, we'll update this policy and tell account holders by email before it takes effect. The current version is always at iyrow.com/privacy.
