iyrow collects as little as possible, sells nothing, and doesn't track you across the web. If you never create an account, iyrow doesn't know who you are.
If you use the free tier without an account:
Nothing personally identifiable. Words you plot pass through iyrow's API proxy and may be cached as text only — no IP address or session ID attached.
If you create an account:
Your email address — currently the whole list. It's used to manage access and, rarely, to announce something significant: a new language, a major feature.
If you make a purchase:
Stripe handles payment entirely. iyrow never sees or stores card details; Stripe's privacy policy covers what they collect.
Words and their IPA transcriptions live in a shared database with no user identifier attached — iyrow can't tell who plotted what. The data improves accuracy for everyone.
No Google Analytics, no Meta pixels, no ad tracking, no third-party marketing cookies.
Want your email removed? Send a request and it's gone. Phoneme cache entries can't be individually identified or removed — they're anonymous by design.
In the EU, GDPR applies and is honored: the lawful basis for holding your email is the consent given at signup, and it can be withdrawn anytime. In California, CCPA applies — no personal data is sold.
Account emails stay until deletion is requested. Phoneme cache entries persist indefinitely — they're the dictionary, not personal data.
If iyrow starts collecting anything new, this policy updates and account holders hear about it by email before it takes effect. The current version always lives at iyrow.com/privacy.
